Post ReleaseOne free map now covers 442 Philippine dive sites with sources shown and every unknown labelled
Diveity has published source-backed pages for 442 Philippine dive sites, 76 resorts and 79 dive shops, free for divers in English, Spanish, German and Japanese. Every page shows where its facts came from, marks what is unknown, and asks local divers to correct it.
Manila, Philippines - October 26, 2026 - MANILA, Philippines, 26 October 2026 — Diveity (diveity.com), a free online atlas for scuba divers, has published source-backed pages for 442 dive sites across the Philippines, together with 76 dive resorts and 79 dive shops, in English, Spanish, German and Japanese. The platform is now asking Filipino divers, dive guides and shop staff to check the pages and correct them.
Every dive-site page lists the sources behind its facts. Where a depth, a current or a best season could not be sourced, the page says "unknown" instead of guessing. Where sources disagree, the page shows both values and says so. Descriptions were researched with AI assistance and have not yet been checked in the water by local divers, and the pages say that too.
"The Philippines is one of the best diving countries on earth, and the information about it is scattered across hundreds of operator sites, forum posts and old guidebooks," said Dan Ursovicius, founder of Diveity. "We would rather publish an honest page that says 'maximum depth unknown' than a confident page that is wrong. The people who dive Anilao, Moalboal or Tubbataha every week know more than any website. We built the correction button for them."
Any reader can press "Suggest a correction" on a page. Corrections from divers with local knowledge are reviewed and credited.
What is on the atlas today
Free for divers, no commissions for businesses
Divers never pay. The atlas, dive logbook, search and buddy-finder are free, with no paid tier planned. Dive shops, resorts and instructors can claim their listing free and receive diver inquiries at no per-lead cost. They pay only if they choose optional premium tools, through a flat monthly subscription or a low subscription plus a fixed fee per transaction. Diveity never takes a percentage of a dive business's revenue.
What comes next
Indonesia is the next country being documented, under the same rules: sources shown, unknowns labelled, local divers invited to correct.
