Juan by JuanTax, PICPA & ACPACI Convene Tech Summit 2026 for MSMEs

Manila, Philippines - September 25, 2026 - Artificial intelligence is changing how fast businesses are expected to work, and many Philippine MSMEs have little time left to catch up. The Bureau of Internal Revenue's e-invoicing compliance period ends December 31, 2026. With that deadline in view, Juan by JuanTax is partnering with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Central Luzon Chapter and the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Commerce and Industry (ACPACI) Central Luzon on the Online Tech Summit 2026, a free, two-day virtual event to help businesses and finance professionals move from awareness to adoption.

The summit runs October 2 and 3, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, via Zoom Webinar. It is open to bookkeepers, accountants, SME owners, finance professionals, tech providers, and industry leaders, including past attendees of JuanUp 2026. The 2025 summit drew over 1,800 participants.

A widening gap
AI-enabled tools are raising the baseline for speed and accuracy in finance and compliance work. Businesses that still rely on manual books and paper invoices face a widening gap in competitiveness and regulatory compliance. Closing that gap takes more than buying software; businesses need to know which tools fit, accountants need to know how tools affect compliance, and providers need to build for how Filipino businesses actually operate.

Aligned with national priorities
The Department of Trade and Industry lists upgrading MSMEs, ease of doing business, technology innovation, and digitalization among its strategic priorities. Its e-commerce roadmap calls for cohesive MSME digitalization programs and stronger tech partnerships. The summit creates that exact platform by bringing professional organizations, businesses, and technology providers into the same conversation.

On compliance, Revenue Regulations No. 11-2025 set requirements for electronic invoice issuance and electronic sales reporting by covered taxpayers. Revenue Regulations No. 26-2025 extended the compliance period to December 31, 2026, and RMC No 98-2026 confirmed the deadline and updated guidelines. For many businesses, that leaves one quarter to choose systems, clean up records, and train staff.
